About
Android Music is a lightweight player that brings together the songs on your phone and in the cloud into one stream. Instead of cluttered menus and pushy ads, it offers fast search, fluid playlists, and seamless background playback. On the subway, by the coast, or in airplane mode — connected or not, your queue picks up right where it left off.
Simple enough for everyday listeners, yet equipped with fine-tuning tools like a 10-band equalizer for audiophiles. Our goal is simple: let nothing get between you and the music.

This policy explains what data Android Music accesses, how it is used, and the choices you have. Android Music is a local music player: it does not require an account and does not collect analytics or crash data. The only data-related activity in the app comes from the third-party advertising service described below.
We do not collect or store any personal data on our own servers. With your permission, the app reads the music files stored on your device so it can build your library and play them back — this processing happens entirely on your device and is never uploaded anywhere. Creating an account is never required and no account data is collected because none exists.
Android Music displays ads through Google AdMob. To serve and measure ads, AdMob may collect information such as your Advertising ID, general device information, approximate location, and app interaction data, and may use this information to show personalized ads. This data is collected and processed by Google, not by us, under Google's own Privacy Policy. You can review it, and manage how Google personalizes ads across apps, at policies.google.com/privacy and adssettings.google.com. On most Android devices you can also opt out of personalized ads or reset your Advertising ID under Settings → Google → Ads.
The app requests a limited set of system permissions — access to music files on your device, background playback, network access (required for ads), and notifications — solely to deliver these features. No permission is used for any purpose beyond what's stated here.
We do not sell your data or share it with third parties ourselves. The only data shared with a third party is the advertising data described in Section 3, which is shared with Google AdMob solely to serve and measure ads.
Because your music library is processed locally and we run no backend of our own, there is no personal data of yours stored on our servers to retain or secure. Uninstalling the app removes any locally cached app data from your device. Data handled by our advertising partner is retained according to Google's own policies.
Android Music is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children, and ad requests from users identified as children are served without personalization, in line with Google Play's Families Policy. If you believe a child has provided us with data, please contact us so we can address it.
Since no account or personal data is stored by us, there is nothing on our end to access, export, or delete on your behalf — uninstalling the app clears everything stored locally. For data collected by our advertising partner, you can exercise your rights (access, deletion, opt-out of sale/sharing, or ad personalization) directly through the Google links in Section 3, or by contacting Google. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA.
We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in the app or legal requirements. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page, and where required, we'll provide additional notice in the app.
If you have any questions about this privacy policy, you can reach us at support@androidmusicapp.com.
